CASA of Tarrant County Awarded Grant at H-E-B Alliance Ribbon Cutting

H-E-B officially opened its H-E-B Alliance store in north Tarrant County, the fifth store the San Antonio-based retailer has opened in the DFW Metroplex. The 125,000-square-foot H-E-B Alliance joins the recently opened Frisco, Plano, McKinney, and Allen H-E-B stores, as well as six Central Market locations that have been serving DFW shoppers for more than two decades.

Through its Spirit of Giving philosophy, H-E-B is passionately dedicated to its customers beyond its stores. For a total of $20,000, H-E-B commemorated the store’s grand opening with $10,000 donations each to CASA of Tarrant County and the Humane Society of North Texas.  Donations such as this build upon the company’s support of more than 150 non-profit organizations and public schools in the DFW Metroplex.

Whether or not foster care has directly touched someone’s life, it actually impacts every person in Tarrant County. Thankfully, several residents are stepping up to champion the rights and well-being of the most vulnerable community members: children in foster care.

CASA of Tarrant County provides unwavering support and advocacy for these children year-round, but during Child Abuse Awareness Month in April and National Foster Care Month in May, the nonprofit organization is shining a light on these critical issues that affect hundreds of children throughout North Texas.
