“As North Texas grows, the need for volunteers grows, said Natalie Stalmach with CASA of Tarrant County.
There is especially a need for men to volunteer as advocates, as well as people of color.”
“CASA of Tarrant County said the pandemic has taken a toll on the foster care system. At the start of 2020, there was a surge in child abuse emergency room visits and child welfare removals in Tarrant County.
CASA volunteers have had to do a lot of their work virtually for the 18 months.
As their mission to help support foster children through the system returns to normal, they're looking for volunteers.”
CASA Board President-Elect was featured in Southlake Style Magazine’s 2021 Women in Business. “After serving as a mentor to victims of human trafficking, Elle Oberdick now works tirelessly to advocate for foster children through her position on the CASA of Tarrant County board of directors. As CASA’s president-elect, Elle works to provide CASA volunteers to every abused and neglected child in the community so they can find a safe, permanent home and experience love and support — what every child deserves. When she isn't busy volunteering with various charitable organizations, Elle serves as the senior vice president, wealth advisor for Wells Fargo’s Private Bank. With her team, she serves clients with over $10 million in assets.”
Congratulations to CASA Volunteer Megan Dobbertein and CASA Board Member Clark Rucker for being named to Fort Worth Business Press’ 40 Under 40!
“…the Mavs Foundation awarded CASA of Tarrant County with a $25,000 grant that will go towards their advocacy program to help them recruit, train, and supervise CASA volunteers and lower the waiting list of children in need.”
